Who I am

I am a writer.  I am writing to you, whoever you are, because together we are imagining this whole world into being. Feel free to write back. Please know that I truly value your attention and that I believe in our shared humanity. You are not my enemy. I have no desire to take anything from you. I don't want your money or your criticism or your freedom. I welcome your curiosity and interest.  If you choose to explore my work, I thank you for accepting these offerings.

I choose not to maintain any presence on social media at this time, so please don't look for me there.

 

Writing inspires readers long after the writer has gone to dust.  All (good) writers have intimate relationships with the dead, for reading books by writers who are no longer alive is necessary for living writers to learn their craft.  I believe a good writer, dead or alive, is a writer who writes with goodwill. For goodwill "...like a jewel, it would still shine by its own light, as a thing which has its whole value in itself.”  That was written by Kant in 1785.  A good writer's written words shine out long after their physical body perishes. Perhaps the atoms escaping from some good dead writers turn into actual stars and go on to jewel the heavens. I aspire to be a good writer.  I should like to be reborn inside a nebula.
